Haridwar Through My Lens

Haridwar,The City of God (Devabhoomi)

The ancient city of Haridwar lies on the banks of river Ganga. In Sanskrit Hara means "Lord Shiva" and Dwara means "gate" or "gateway".Hence, Hardwar stands for "Gateway to Lord Shiva".
On the other hand,Hari means "Lord Vishnu". So,Haridwar also stands for " The Gateway to Lord Vishnu".

The sun is a daily reminder that we can to rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light

Antediluvian:

According to the scriptures, Bhagiratha the great king brought the river Ganges on earth from the heaven for the purification of his ancestor's soul.

Here people from different cultures, countries , perceptions unified  for the one reason , a search of inner peace .It's a place where you can see devotees performing ritualistic bathing on the banks of the Ganges to wash away their sins to attain moksha.

Haridwar is full of positive vibes. Here you can enjoy a boat trip on the Ganges river  and the spectacular sunrise from the ghat (a flight of steps leading down to a river ) ; with the sun-up river turns into gold and the birds glide in such a way that they are celebrating the sunshine, the cool breeze tranquilizes the mind and the body . The whole realm of the first-light is so hypnotic.
Haridwar, for the welfare of mankind, bliss on earth.
